REVIEW
Accordix is a unique cardiac rehabilitation system based on tele-ECG technology. It consists of the following elements:
- A two-channel cardiac recorder* that records ECG, breathing, as well as the patient's pace of movement and body position during training. The results are transmitted to a smartphone using a pre-configured Bluetooth wireless channel.
- A special electrode system, which is a vest that is individually assembled by a doctor for each specific patient. After adapting the vest, the patient can put it on at home on his own, without fear of making a mistake with the application of electrodes!
- A smartphone with a mobile app installed. The application can be downloaded from Google Play and installed on any smartphone running Android OS. It is very easy to use thanks to the minimum number of buttons. The patient can see in the application the course of his workouts with parameters created in advance by the doctor. And it will also remind you of the upcoming training! Survey data are transmitted over the Internet to a remote server and stored there. You can view them at any convenient time.
- A doctor's portal containing patient databases and training courses. The doctor can observe the training process in real time or view the data in the recording. One specialist can manage an unlimited number of patients, coordinating their classes from anywhere in the world where there is an Internet connection.
* It is also possible to use a 12-channel electrocardiograph "Poly-Spectrum-8/EX".
Wide range of applications: cardiac rehabilitation, tele-ECG, real-time telemetry, Holter monitoring
Depending on the goals of the doctor and the needs of the patient, various options for using the Accordix system are possible:
- A course of motor rehabilitation, consisting of a series of cardio workouts under the supervision of a doctor. Such a course is necessary for a patient who has undergone cardiovascular disease or heart surgery. However, due to the territorial remoteness of the patient from the rehabilitation center, it may be difficult to visit a specialist regularly. Accordix will solve this problem, because the patient will not have to visit the hospital with it.
- Real-time telemetry. This is an ideal way to assess the functional state of the athlete's body during training. The doctor can observe how the physiological parameters of the athlete change and set thresholds to control the intensity of the load in real time. This approach allows the coach of the team to adjust the training process to achieve the highest results and minimize injuries.
- Outpatient ECG monitoring according to the Holter method. The system stores a record of ECG, breathing, and activity data in the smartphone's memory and simultaneously sends it to a remote server along with the results of the preliminary analysis. As a result, the doctor automatically receives an outpatient record, which can be uploaded for in-depth analysis in the professional specialized program Poly-Spectrum-SM.NET. Traditional downloading of the recording from the instrument is not required. The patient will be able to come to the doctor's appointment to hand over the equipment and immediately receive a transcript of the results of the examination!
- Tele-ECG: 12-channel data transmission via an Internet channel and remote interpretation of the results by a specialist. Highly qualified specialists are not always able to come to the patient for an ECG examination. Often, in remote settlements, there are only paramedics who do not have sufficient qualifications. With the advent of tele-ECG technology, such personnel have the opportunity to receive consultations from highly qualified specialists located thousands of kilometers away in real time!
Real-time detection of heart rhythm and conduction disorders, myocardial ischemia episodes
The Accordix system makes it possible to evaluate the following key indicators:
- the pace of movement;
- body position;
- respiratory rate;
- electrocardiogram;
- heart rate.
In addition, the system makes it possible to accurately register a number of pathological conditions by detecting arrhythmic events, typifying complexes and registering changes in the ST-segment.
Absolute freedom of patient movement
Outpatient cardiac rehabilitation is not inferior in diagnostic efficiency to such a study in an inpatient setting, but it is much more comfortable for the patient and cheaper for the medical organization. The patient can do his own thing, devoting several hours a week to training, for example, walking in the nearest park.
Intuitive interface of the portal for the doctor and mobile application for the patient
The main application of the Accordix system is outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, and the patients for whom it is intended are older people. We tried to make the application as simple as possible, with a minimum number of buttons, so that even elderly people would not find it difficult to understand it.
The portal is also easy to use. The doctor can see all his patients and their training courses, manage them. In addition, we train doctors and administrators to work with the portal. In two days, the specialist will receive all the necessary information to start working with the system.
Precise electrode application thanks to the use of a unique mounting system
The reusable electrode system (vest) is assembled by the doctor, who places the electrodes strictly according to the patient's anatomical features. After that, the patient puts on and fixes the vest on his own, without fear of making a mistake with the application of electrodes. The vest has only one clasp and snaps into place with one easy movement.
