Ortez-1 Passive Hand Development Trainer with Feedback
This technology is used to restore the motor activity of the hands of adults and children with motor deficits resulting from stroke, injuries, surgery and diseases of the central nervous system.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION OF THE COMPLEX
- Passive recording of brain activity using several electrodes.
- Data transfer to the electroencephalograph, transmission is carried out via USB.
- Signal filtering. Classification of the electroencephalography signal.
- Sets the desired rotation angle for each brush.
- Hand movement based on the incoming command from the analysis of encephalography.
The technology is based on the ability of the cerebral cortex to spontaneously and modulated reorganization of neuronal networks due to neuroplastic processes.
The rehabilitation procedure consists in stimulating the mechanisms of neuroplasticity of the brain, activated by the imagination of movement, in which the exoskeleton of the hand makes movements under the control of the power of the patient's own thought, implemented through the brain-computer interface.
ADVANTAGES
- Active participation of the patient in the rehabilitation process, performance of applied tasks.
- Use of biofeedback: visual, proprioceptive and tactile.
- The latest effective methods of rehabilitation and habilitation are neurorehabilitation.
- Bringing the rehabilitation environment closer to the real one.
- Availability of mechanisms for assessing the effectiveness of exercises.
