Examination of central and peripheral pathways

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has long been proven to be effective in the study of central and peripheral pathways. The alternating magnetic field generated by the magnetic stimulator freely penetrates clothing, hair and skin, bone formations and meninges. Upon reaching the conductive tissues, which include the structures of the central and peripheral nervous system, this field generates an alternating electric field that provides an electric current capable of activating neurons, as in electrical stimulation, but painlessly and without the need for additional training of the examinee.

When using a myograph, it is possible to record motor evoked potentials (MEPs) from the muscles innervated by these neurons. This principle underlies a number of diagnostic tests, such as the determination of the time of central motor conduction, the cortical period of silence, etc.

Diagnostics of diseases of the nervous system

The Neuro-MSX magnetic stimulator allows for simple and painless examination of central and peripheral motor pathways, which is necessary for the early diagnosis, assessment, prognosis and monitoring of various neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, movement disorders, motor neuron disease, spinal cord injuries.

Synchronization with almost any myograph

Neuro-MSX is synchronized with electroneuromyographs of most world manufacturers. If you already have a myograph, you can use it with our magnetic stimulator. However, the best diagnostic results can be achieved by using Neurosoft myographs.

The computer program "Neuro-MEP.NET" includes built-in algorithms for a wide range of TMS studies:

  • motor evoked potentials (MVP);
  • Central Motor Conduction Time (CMCT);
  • Evaluation of the silence period (SP);
  • transcallosal inhibition (ipsilateral SP);
  • triple stimulation test (TST);
  • stimulation of the phrenic nerve to study the response of the diaphragm.

All of these tests are available when you purchase the Neuro-MSX magnetic stimulator along with any of our myographs.

Wide range of inductors

We have created a series of inductors in various shapes and sizes. You can choose any of them depending on the type of research being conducted. All models have perfect ergonomics and control buttons, and the coordinate grid helps to achieve maximum accuracy in positioning.
